Spain - Barcelona

Second Spaniard city regarding the population, Barcelona is a declared rivale of the almighty Madrid. Its economic dynamism only competes with its attractivness when it comes to sports (FC Barcelona in soccer, Olympic games in 1992) or art (City of Gaudi, it also welcomed Picasso and Dali among others).

-Gaudi : The architect Gaudi left his footprint on the entire city. Two sites are very characteristics of the artist.
The Sagrada Familia Cathedral is still under construction, even if it was designed by Gaudi in the late 19th century and was already being built when he died in 1926.
The Park Güel is the other masterpiece of Gaudi in Barcelona. You will love walking in this almost feeric world.

-Las Ramblas : Betwwen the harbor and Catalunya square, Las Ramblas is the most lively street in town. But the street is worth passing by as well for the animation and pubs (especially during the week end nights) as for the architecture around.

-Montjuic district : On the hights of Barcelona, Montjuic hosts numerous sites of interest. Old fortress, the casstle of Montjuic became today a military museum, in the middle of a large parc. You will also find there the olympic village that welcomed athletes from the entire World for the competition in 1992. Art fans and party boys will both like the district with museums such as the museum of National Art of Catalunya in the one hand and numerous night clubs on the other hand.
